Dancing Fireblade Acquisition

  • This gift can be found in the Surt Blood Code.

Dancing Fireblade Notes

  • Damage Multiplier: 60% /sec. (425% total)
  • Its duration can be increased with Gift Extension for more damage.
  • Fills the focus gauge of enemies extremely fast.
  • Each instance of damage chips at the enemies balance, making them easier to stagger. However, the stagger itself  of this gift is very weak, only serving to interrupt enemies that are attacking.
  • Utilizes Dark Gift ratings for damage calculations at the moment of the cast, and remains with that calculation for the whole duration.
    • Timely casting this gift while the effects of Dark Impulse and Survival Instinct are active is a good way to boost its damage (besides Swift Destruction)

Insanely good gift for someone trying to get the Combo Master / Gifted Warrior early since apparently the hits counts towards the number required to unlock the trial.

One thing of note that makes this gift much more powerful and useful than it first appears is that its duration stops counting down while engaged in a parry, backstab, or launch drain, but continues to deal damage to surrounding enemies during the animation. This trick in combination with Gift Extension can result in the gift being active for much longer than its listed duration during invasions, as you'll have no shortage of lost spawning in to parry and backstab one right after the other, and you'll be passively killing/staggering enemies that come up to try and deliver that uncannily frame-perfect attack as your drain invulnerability frames end.

If you rapidly move your character clockwise while this gift is active, it will hit about twice as often. Pretty funny
