Trading Items in Code Vein is a type of item that is used as currency to acquire Trading Points from the Merchants, trading points are used to obtain special items - These can be obtained from random loot, inside chests, or acquired as a reward from completing a quest or defeating a boss.

      So from what I can gather, certain items will yield more trading points than others depending on who you trade them with. The geisha noodles, for example, yielded more trading points when I handed them to Coco, indicated by some unique dialogue from her about that specific item after the trade. I wasn't able to note the exact number of points gained though...
