I found this move to be incredibly useful against Mido and the Virgin Reborn boss fight. It's also very good against the teleporting move that Successor of the Claw does on your NG+ playthrough if you predict it as well. There are probably even more applications for this move against other bosses and I will be testing them out in the future.

Pretty useless, you are better off saving your Ichor and just rolling out of the way, unless you want a backup i-frame when you run out of stamina.

This gift only really is useful, that I've found so far, in avoiding Mido's orb attack. It activates incredibly fast, and the vertical teleport is high enough that even if you screw up your timing and activate early, its very likely you'll still be above their activation/detonation point. If you've got a better grasp of timing, use shifting hollow, as it's far more useful against a much larger number of targets.
While it looks neat, I don't see the practical use for it. Perhaps so you can dodge in very narrow conditions, but with invulnerability frames and invisible walls on ledges while rolling, these ability seems to be obsolete. Perhaps someone will find a niche use for it?
Severely outclassed by Shifting Hollow. This one use more Ichor and way higher cooldown. It has better Iframe but the backswing is pretty counterproductive.
It looks cool though.
