Final Journey is an Active Gift in Code Vein. Final Journey is a gift exclusive to the Queenslayer Blood Code. It heals the player to full and grants temporary damage and mobility increases for its duration at the cost of killing the player when its duration expires.
Final Journey Information
- Immediately restores all HP and increases all abilities, but kills you after some time.
- Increases all damage by 50%.
- Enhances mobility by one stage for the duration of the effect. (set base mobility to 'Quick' regardless of equipment prior to patch 1.20)
- Lasts 1 Minute before killing the player. (3 minutes prior to patch 1.20)
- Dying to Final Journey will not give your allies a chance to revive you.
- Gift Extension can buff this to 1 Minute 30 Seconds ( 4 minutes prior to patch 1.20 )
- Since defeating a boss fully heals players and removes debuffs, Final Journey will be removed if you kill a boss with it active. There are only two exceptions to this rule: the Successor of the Ribcage and the Skull King when it transitions into the Virgin Born. This is because the bossfight has merely reached a checkpoint and hasn't technically ended: Final Journey will still be active and at the timer point of when you reached the checkpoint when you start the next stage of the battle: however, Final Journey can still be reset with no risk of dying from it or losing boss progress by using a vivifier (purchasable from Coco or found throughout the world), the Vivification Gift from the Mercury Blood Code or the Mistle Root item acquired in the Crypt Spire, all of which return you to the last Mistle you activated or rested at without losing any Haze.
- Ichor Cost: 10
- Cooldown: 0 sec.
- Attack Type: -
- Non-Physical: -
- Max Out Proficiency:
- This gift cannot be Mastered, and is exclusive to Queenslayer.

Builds that use Final Journey
Final Journey Notes
- Gifts are acquired from obtaining different Blood Codes and by using the Mistle to Acquire/Inherit Gifts.
- A certain amount of Haze is needed to unlock your preferred Gift and have required stats in order to equip these.
- It is possible to avoid dying with Final Journey, albeit somewhat difficult depending on how you use it. In order to live using Final Journey, you must be inflicted with the Inhibit Status Effect before the timer ends, thus canceling the ability and letting you live.
- While using Final Journey, the player cannot interact with NPC's until it is removed.

Man, I don't get people complaining about the duration. I wasn't over-leveled (as I was making a bee-line from bosses to bosses) and this **** is broken as **** even with the 1min duration. Took down bosses with 1/2 or 1/3 duration out of 1 minute.
I feel like this is the official difficulty slider for the game, from normal straight down to very easy.

Question regarding this - I know that it's impossible to be revived if this Gift kills you, but what if you die to an enemy an instant before the timer expires? If the timer ends while you're already dead, and then someone throws heath at you, are you revived?
I'd test on my own, but I don't have a player to help me get the timing right.

It should be noted that inhibit debuff nullifies it effect, can be exploited agaist mobs with inhibit attacks.

I get that 3 minutes was too long, but for gods sake 1 min is too short, even 1 30 with gift extension. Why not make it 2 mins and not affected by gift extension? But anyways. Changing the mobility only to the next better is bs! Not my problem as I'm always at normal speed, but still that was just too much of a nerf. At least they didn't change the damage, otherwise this would be useless as f.

Not sure, but i think this gift is must-have for getting your hit damage to the cap of 99999. This kills all bosses except DLC ones on normal, didn't get to NG+ but it should at least heavily wound them, most likely get to second phase. Then you have ~30 seconds to finish boss off, or one minute if you replaced one of damage buffs with Gift Extension.

You want to use the best gift in the game again? Sure, just buy the Season Pass and get yourself Gift Extension for a slight chance to make this useful again. Don´t worry it ain´t p2w!!!

Devs: Nerf Final Journey to one minute, making it basically suicide in any boss fight where you actually NEED it. Also Devs: Fail to make Gilded Hunter, giant Brute Lost less bull*****

Why do dev's always nerf things 5 minutes after the game launches, but if an aggravating and sometimes game-breaking issue is apparent, they'll go years before they fix it, provided they even fix it at all? "People are enjoying this too much. Let's fix that immediately. Wait, they're experiences regular game crashes several times a day, usually after an intense boss fight making them have to fight them all over again? Should we fix that? Nah ***** it we dont have the time."

where girls cried: patch 1.20 where men cried: lead pipe now purchasble

The mobility shown here is outdated. The nerf changed mobility upgrade to increase it by 1 stage instead of 2. It is now NOT always "Quick", instead it upgrades your mobility to the next stage, like Hasten.

Finally I can use this gift now in proper builds without worrying that I activate "god mode". Moreover this buff is thematic at last - you should activate it in later phases of bosses, as your last resort, not just from a beginning in an anticlimactic way. Children and weebos are crying because now they have to play the game as intended, using variety of builds this game offers, instead of having one stupid answer to all challenges. If they want to have unbalanced game then they should use cheats instead of forcing devs to unbalance their game.

literally not worth using now and the Devs ruined this really cool and risky gift and it also only gives you the next speed up, as i can only normal roll from fat roll now. Don't even bother using this normally anymore as you'll just die mid way through a boss fight, untill they fix this mistake of an "adjustment" Never consider this a good gift as it'll just kill you more times than it'll help you, even if the boss never hits you once! and it's a shame too, as this was my favourite gift and made for some really nice and good builds, but now i can't even have fun with this anymore and am forced to use something else.

Unfortunately, the time is now 1 min. With gift extension, it's 1 min 30 sec. Not only that, from light testing, your partner will not revive you only if you die from the gift itself, not from enemies while it's active.

Final Journey must have been hard nerfed in 1.20 because now it only lasts roughly 30 seconds. Way too shirt to be useful except when a boss is about half hp. 3 minutes might be too long but 30 seconds is way too short.
It didn't feel like three minutes, I tried it out against Skull King and just when I reached to the half of his health-bar, I died because of the ability. It didn't last 3 minutes...at all. It took around like 30 seconds until I got his health-bar down. It's not a bad ability, it isn't, it's just that it doesn't feel like it lasts 3 minutes at all.

That one move that every shounen anime main character does when they are about to be defeated.

If you're struggling to find a comfortable time to use this, consider popping it when the bosses is starting their final phase. As they'll only take some 1% damage and the fight will be over soon one way or the other, that is a perfect time to activate Final Journey.

Can anyone confirm that activating Final Journey allows for the maximum attack boost from Swift Destruction?

Powerful and I think quite useful in NG+++. Where bosses can easily 1-2 hit you, killing them before they kill you is essential. 3 minutes is plenty of time to kill all the bosses, especially if used when the bosses are in their second phase.

So i know killing the boss stops this from killing you but would Panacea's Essence also stop it or does that only remove normal debuffs?

This gift is so busted its actually crazy, easily the best gift in the game for bosses and it activates Swift Destruction which is another massive damage boost.

Aka the most bonkers overpowered ability in the game, so good it makes Queenslayer an almost must-use for most builds. Struggling in any way? Just go Super Saiyan and wreck anything in front of you.
For those who don't know. Gift Extension stacks with eachother. Having both white Mia and another player use the gift alongside their own will extend the timer by quite a bit. Gift Extensions adds 50 percent of the current timer so that means
FJ : 1m
FJ GE×1 : 1m 30s
FJ GE×2 : 2m 15s
FJ GE×3 : 3m 37s
Take this info as you see fit. This will also extend the subsequent GE timers so the last one to cast it will also have its timer at maximum.
