Zweihander is a Weapon in Code VeinZweihander is categorized as a Two-Handed Sword weapon. Weapons can be found from Enemies and/or Bosses, acquired as a reward from completing quests, provided by NPCs, and are sold by Merchants.



A long, two-handed blade mass-produced by the provisional government.

Designed for slaying larger Lost specimens, it is highly durable and provides its bearer with a great deal of protection.

Feedback from Operation Queenslayer led to technological upgrades such as a single-unit, internally-mounted ichor conductor.

Zweihander Notes and Tips

  • The Physical Damage of the weapon is the Base Damage plus Scaling Damage. Scaling damage is based on your Character Level.
  • Under Fortification path, it offers 100% physical damage reduction, allowing you to use it as a makeshift shield. The increased weight can also be mitigated by using the Atlas Blood Code.
  • Only the Argent Wolf Warhammer can match the physical damage reduction of this weapon under the fortified path. However, the Zweihander is obtained much, much earlier in the game.
  • The charged attack has damage multiplier of x2.72, before factoring enemy resistances.
  • High base damage but low scaling. Good weapon for the early-game.

      Weird game.
      stats at training:
      Zweihander +10 fortification:
      light attack 1954,
      heavy attack 2540,
      heavy launch attack 2344,
      heavy charged attack 4787.

      Queenslayer Greatsword +10 fortification:
      light attack 1603,
      heavy attack 2672,
      heavy launch attack 2137,
      heavy charged attack 4275.
      Why is the QS heavy attack more damaging, but the other attacks are less damaging?

        Horrible moveset, ugly weapon, but the 100% physical block with fortification means you can tank a lot of large enemies and bosses while your companion does the work... often slowly. Also wondering why they made this slash and the Queenslayer Greatsword crush when they look like they should be the opposite

          You only need a +1 fortification weapon upgrade of the Zweihander if your primary reason to use it is as a 100% block shield - pointing that out as its not immediately obvious based on the above table.

            Hands down strongest weapon in the whole game,no matter what blood code you use you can use this weapon because of laughable stat requirements,while having highest base damage alongside decent scaling,very usable on caster classes too since greatswords have highest ichor drain out of all weapons(1 charged heavy attack from this beast fills 6/7 ichor) WHILE ALSO BEING A ****ING 100% DEFENSE SHIELD(fortification modification) also very good moveset with both swings slams and thrusts(its charger heavy is a big ass single hit slam which means it also greatly benefits from 1 hit enhancement gifts from Berserker and Atlas blood codes)
            TLDR: It's way too overpowered

              Best weapon in the game. It has the highest AR if any other weapon, making it optimal because strength builds devolve into one shot builds mid late game

              • Absolutely MURDERS individual, large enemies like the large ladies and even bosses. Not recommended for large groups. I love to pair it with a bayonet for a power/dex/range dynamic.

                    This thing is kind of broken. Just transform it into a fortification zweihander and it has 100% defense meaning you can block every single attack and it does 0 damage - it still fills up your focus bar though. Yeah it's heavy but you really don't need to be rolling that much with a fortification zweihander.
