GXL Defender is a Blood Veil (Armor) in Code Vein. Blood Veils are categorized as both the player's armor and weapon which provides offensive and defensive stats - these can be found inside chests, dropped by enemies and/or bosses, acquired as a reward from completing quests, provided by NPCs, and are sold by Merchants.

Where to find GXL Defender

• Provisional Government Center: Near the end of the zone, to the right of the elevator, behind a locked door. The Veil is in the chest and comes pre-upgraded to +9 The way around is nearby, featuring a ladder and an ambush.

Notes and Tips

• Offers the highest physical defense of all Blood Veils, while also being the heaviest.
• Also has the highest Poison Resistance of all Blood Veils, sitting at 153 untransformed.
• Compared to the Silver Garb, it's better in all defense except for Fire damage. It also offers less protection against Status Ailments (except for poison), and weights 8 more units.
• Tied with the Silver Garb for the highest Balance rating of all the Blood Veils.
