Azure Greatsword is a Weapon in Code Vein. Azure Greatsword is categorized as a Two-Handed Sword weapon. Weapons can be found from Enemies and/or Bosses, acquired as a reward from completing quests, provided by NPCs, and are sold by Merchants.

Though heavy, it features high weapon defense and willpower scaling ichor gain.

This white-frosted blade holds the power of absolute zero within, which imbues its charged attacks with ice.

Where to find Azure Greatsword

• The Frozen Empress DLC is required to acquire this Weapon.
• This weapon can be obtained by completing the Destroyer  trial which requires a player to:
  • Defeat "Frozen Empress"
  • Fight only using a Two-Handed Sword (Gift/drain attacks OK)
  • Allow your HP to reach 0 no more than 3 times
• Sold by Rin Murasame for 10000 Haze after completing the Destroyer trial.

Azure Greatsword Notes and Tips

• The Physical Damage of the weapon is the Base Damage plus Scaling Damage. Scaling damage is based on your Character Level.
• Requires B Willpower to be used. However, due to the lack of any ranged attack, it features only STR scaling despite the description.
  • The normal description of the weapon states "ichor gain" while the detailed description states "willpower scaling". The reason for this is unknown, as it has no willpower scaling (but does have a WIL requirement to wield).
• Same moveset of the Argent Wolf Brand, but with similar stats to the Zweihander.
• Charged heavy attacks cost 2 ichor and temporarily provide additional ice damage similar to Frost Weapon.
  • The ice buff persists even while swapping weapons.
• It's the only weapon with a defensive drain rating of 0.6 instead of 0.34, which makes the Azure Greatsword the best defensive weapon in the game surpassing the Zweihander.
• It's high base damage is penalized by the lowest scaling of all Two-Handed Swords. On high level, this weapon is better used for blocking and buffing, instead of dealing damage.
