Thunderbolt is a Weapon in Code Vein. Thunderbolt is categorized as a Bayonet Rifle weapon. Weapons can be found from Enemies and/or Bosses, acquired as a reward from completing quests, provided by NPCs, and are sold by Merchants.

A bayonet galvanized by a thunderbolt. It is light and geared for dynamic ranged combat.

 

Where to find Thunderbolt

• The Lord of Thunder DLC is required to acquire this weapon.
• This Blood Code can be obtained by completing the Chiron's Bloodline trial which requires a player to:
  • Defeat "Lord of Thunder"
  • Allow your HP to reach 0 no more than 3 times
  • Fight only using a Bayonet (Gift/drain attacks OK)
• Sold by Rin Murasame for 10000 Haze after completing the Chiron's Bloodline trial.

 

Thunderbolt Notes and Tips

• DEX scaling affects melee damage, while WIL scaling affects ranged damage.
  • Its the only weapon in the game to ask for a higher wielding requirement than the scaling provides.
• Same melee moveset of the Lost Bayonet.
• Charged shots temporarily provide additional lightning damage to melee attacks similar to Lightning Weapon.
  
  • The lightning buff persists even while swapping weapon.
• Features high base damage and WIL scaling, but it doesn't have any MND scaling.
  
  • In spite of the lacking of MND scaling, the regular shots are very strong.
  • However, the melee damage is penalized by mediocre DEX scaling.
• The shot is a short range shotgun blast similar to the Riot Breaker (albeit with a tighter spread and slightly more range), while the heavy shot is a similar to a single Fourfold Verdict orb.

 

Bullet Pattern

Strong

Short-ranged and quick shotgun-like blast. Consumes 1 ichor.

Charged Strong

Very-slow-speed long-distance homing electric orb. Consumes 3 ichor. Deals 1.25x the regular shot's damage
