Louis is a Companion in Code Vein. Companions are special NPCs that join the player character in their exploration of the world. Companions can be customized and have their own storylines He is a young revenant leader that is said to be seeking for Blood Beads for its substitution capability for blood.
How to Recruit Louis
- You'll find him in Area D-12 Ruined City Underground, right after Oliver Collins leaves the party after being attacked by a Lost Revenant.
Louis Combat Information
- Fights melee with a One-Handed Sword and the skill Phantom Assault.
- Casts occasionally the Fire Storm gift.
- He can increase his mobility and damage with the gifts Hasten and Blade Dance. Improves team's attack power with Overdrive.
- After your defeat, he can revive you using the Regenerative Offer gift.
- Great mobility and useful damage buffs, but not very resistant.
- He is also able to debilitate enemies with Slow when he is in a focused state.
- Will also be able to do a drain combo if he is attacking an enemy that is in it's focused state.
Louis Trading Item Value
During your exploration, you'll find Trading Items known as "Valuables" which can be given to an NPC in exchange for Trade Points. Trade Points, on the other hand, is a form of currency that is used to exchange unique items from an NPC - listed below are the value of trading points you can obtain from giving the following Trading Item:

Louis Notes and Tips
- Owner of the Prometheus Blood Code. He'll give it to you after speaking with him for the second time in the base.
- Best valuables to give are books.
- His Blood Code, Prometheus, could be a reference to the Greek god Prometheus, as the god was known for stealing fire from the gods, and Louis uses many fire-based attacks.

So the dialogue early in the game with the Revenant referring to Louis as "The Crimson Blade" am I the only one who wants to know what that's about?
